In the US, collected sales tax is a liability (Sales Tax Payable), not income or expense. Comptyx’s US profile uses 2310.
Pattern
Sale: debit A/R 1200, credit sales 4000, credit 2310. Purchase: depends whether tax is recoverable (prepaid 1410) or not. No US bank journal in the product.
